Wool Appliqué Patterns and Kits

Pattern #101 - Large Circles You will love how quick it is to make these over-sized Pennies!	Pattern #102 - Small Circles	Back to Basics Penny Rug Patterns by Hooked on Rugs Two wonderful (and easy!) patterns have precut templates included! Pattern #101 (large circles) can be made with on of our 6" Stash Packs. Pattern #102 (small circles) can easily be made with one of our 3.5" Stash Packs. $9.50 each

	It's A Wonderful World by All Through The Night, designed by Bonnie Sullivan This wool appliqué lap quilt project is fun and easy to make! Finished size : 32" x 32" This project starts with 57 5 inch squares of background wools. Appliqué each square with a motif, then cut them down to 4 inch squares before assembling them into a quilt. The pattern directions are very clear and easy to follow. The designs for each square are very sweet, but you may substitute your own ideas. I personalized mine by changing seven of the squares. Pattern $10.
Photo above is of my finished lap quilt. Green background fabrics shown are the fabrics included in the kit. The appliqué motifs are no larger than 3 1/5 inch square, so your stash of scraps will work perfectly. No wool scraps? Need more fun colors? Order our Stash Pack and you will have everything you need to complete this project. I changed seven of the blocks from the original design. The photos below show five designs that were not part of the original pattern. You are welcome to use these in your quilt if you like.		Background Kit: $84 (pattern not included) The background kit includes 57 pre-cut 5 inch squares of wool hand dyed in our Pine Forest color, and 5/8 yard of matching green wool for the inside border and binding.

	Taking Shelter Wool Art Quilt from BBD Creations 20" x 30" This stunning art quilt features a perfect combination of wool and silk in an appliqué project. The hare is made of assorted wools, both dyed and un-dyed. The Solomon's Seal plant is silk, incorporating a stuffed tube for the stem and shaped wired leaves that are only attached to the background along one edge resulting in a three-dimensional surface design. The water drops are clear Swarvorski tear drop crystals, which catch the light and glisten.

click here for a closeup view	Skating Day Wool Appliqué Table Mat 18" x 16" A very sweet winter project that uses a scrap of 100% wool cable-knit sweater that has been washed and felted for the skater's sweater. Her hair is hand-dyed wool tapestry yarn. Wool yarn was also used for the snowflakes to give them a fuzzy, fresh-snow appearance.
